Dover sole is a type of flatfish with mottled skin. The meat is firm and traditionally skinned on the top only. To cook, you can grill, fry or poach dover sole. Flavoring with butters and sauces such as lemon and parsley compliments the dover sole well.

Dogfish is actually a type of shark that is quite popular to eat in parts of Europe as it has quite a sweet yet mild taste. The meat is flaky and is used to make fish tacos, stews, soups, and fillets.

I never knew there were so many different food that started with the letter “D,” how fun! My favorites are definitely dill, delicata squash, dragon fruit, and daiquiris. But there are some here I’ve never heard of, so I’ll have to try!
