Puff Pastry Christmas Tree

PREHEAT OVEN

Preheat oven to 350 F. In a bowl, mix the flour and butter with a fork. 

MIX BATTER

Add the egg and vanilla and keep mixing. Add two tablespoons of water to soften the dough.

CHILL DOUGH

Allow the dough to rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 

FLATTEN THE DOUGH

Roll the dough out on a floured surface 1/4 of an inch thick.

BAKE IN THE OVEN

Place the dough on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

MAKE THE TREE

Remove the dough from the oven. With a knife, cut it into a Christmas tree shape

SPREAD JAM

Next, spread the Christmas tree with fruit jam. 

ADD APPLES

Place sliced apples from the edge of the tree to the center until filled up. 

ADD SUGAR

Next, sprinkle the apples with brown sugar.

BAKE

Bake the tree for an additional 20 minutes.

DECORATE

Decorate the puff pastry tree with powdered sugar and blueberries! 

SERVE AND ENJOY
