Strawberry Juice
There is nothing that comes close to the refreshing, sweet taste of fresh strawberry juice. Even store-bought juice cannot come close to this recipe. I blend ripe, fragrant strawberries with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a splash of cold water for a naturally sweet and nutritious drink. - My #1 Secret Tip for this strawberry juice recipe is to use the ripest strawberries you can get your hands on. The natural sweetness and depth of flavor in this juice come entirely from the fruit, so the quality of the berries makes a huge difference. I look for strawberries that are large, fragrant, slightly soft to the touch, and a deep red all the way through.
- Do not throw away the pulp: I never throw away the pulp when I make this recipe. It is great for using in smoothies like my mixed berry smoothie without yogurt.
- Chill your glasses: On hot days, I like to chill my glasses for a few minutes before adding my juice. This also helps the ice stay intact for longer without melting and watering down the juice.
- Adjust the sweetness if necessary: If your juice needs an extra bit of sweetness, try sweetening it naturally with a few drops of maple syrup or honey. You could also blend in a few soaked and softened medjool dates before straining.
- Straining is optional: I strain the juice for a smoother taste and more vibrant appearance. But if you like a bit of pulp in your juice, then you can leave the mixture unstrained and drink it as is!
