How to Make Wine Popsicles
These wine popsicles combine a childhood favorite and an adult guilty pleasure into a refreshing frozen treat. I make them with wine, fresh fruit juice, and colorful fruit. They are lightly sweet, easy to customize, and only take 10 minutes to prepare before I leave the rest up to the freezer.

- My #1 Secret Tip for this wine popsicle recipe is to stick to a ratio of about 2 parts juice to 1 part wine. Wine contains alcohol, which does not freeze solid, so this balance creates popsicles that freeze properly while still delivering plenty of wine flavor.
- Taste first: Every wine and juice combination is different, so I always taste the mixture before filling the molds. If it needs a little more sweetness, I stir in the sugar before freezing.
- Choose ripe fruit: Fresh ripe fruit adds the best flavor and creates the prettiest presentation. Smaller pieces also make the popsicles easier to enjoy straight from the mold.
- Leave space: I stop filling each mold just below the rim since the liquid expands slightly as it freezes. This helps keep the lids in place and prevents overflow.
- Freeze overnight: Although these popsicles are usually ready after 4-6 hours, I like freezing them overnight whenever possible for the firmest texture.
- Release gently: If the popsicles do not slide out easily, I run the outside of the mold under cold water for a few seconds. This helps them release cleanly without melting the edges.
