Blackberry Simple Syrup

You’ll need just 15 minutes and 4 simple ingredients to make this mouthwatering blackberry simple syrup.

Use it in your favorite cocktails (or mocktails), in teas and sodas, in place of maple syrup on pancakes, over vanilla ice cream, and more!

INGREDIENTS

Bring Ingredients To A Boil:

Bring the water, sugar, berries and lemon juice to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until the sugar dissolves.

Reduce Heat:

Mash Berries:

Using the back of a spoon, fork, spatula, or potato masher, mash the berries to release the juices.

Pour the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or fine mesh strainer to remove all seeds and pulp, discard solids.

Strain Seeds:

Transfer the tasty blackberry syrup to a sterilized glass jar and let it cool to room temperature.
