Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie

I make this Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie whenever I’m craving something sweet but still want it to be healthy. With frozen strawberries, almond butter, and cocoa powder, it is ready in just 5 minutes and gives me a creamy protein-packed boost. Plus, it’s totally dairy-free and tastes like dessert in a glass.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend on low until thick and smooth, stop to scrape down sides along the way.

Notes

  • My #1 Tip for making this chocolate strawberry smoothie is to blend it on low and take a moment to scrape down the sides as I go. It makes everything mix evenly and gives me that thick, smooth texture I love. I’ve rushed it before and ended up with chunks, so now I always take the extra few seconds.
  • Start with less liquid: I begin with a smaller amount of milk and add more if needed. It helps control the thickness.
  • Add a pinch of salt: Just a tiny pinch of sea salt can bring out the chocolate flavor even more.
  • Sweeten to taste: If the strawberries are tart, I might add a splash of maple syrup or a date. I taste as I go and adjust depending on who I’m serving.
  • Frozen strawberries: I use frozen strawberries because they make the smoothie thick and creamy. If you’re using fresh ones, just toss in a few ice cubes to get the right texture.
