Air fryer jicama fries are crispy, easy to make, and the perfect side dish. These jicama fries are a healthy alternative to traditional french fries, but are super flavorful thanks to aromatic spices like fresh rosemary, garlic powder, and fresh thyme. Cut out the splattering oil by using the air fryer instead!

Notes

  • Make sure to shake or flip these low-carb fries halfway through the cooking time. This allows the fries to get crispy all over.
  • Use simple ingredients and seasonings to make the best fries. There’s no need to use many different seasonings, since jicama fries absorb other flavors really well.
  • To keep the texture of these jicama fries crispy, you can also bake them in the oven on a parchment paper prepared baking sheet.
  • Drain and dry the jicama after boiling to remove any excess water so the oil will stick and they’ll get nice and crispy.
  • Cooking times will vary depending on appliances used.
  • Boiling the jicama before air frying ensures even cooking - don't skip this step!
