Protein Powder Mug Cake

This healthy chocolate protein powder mug cake is easy to make and ready in minutes! With rich, decadent flavors and fudgy texture, your chocolate cravings will be instantly satisfied. The best part?   • To a microwave safe mug, add the flour, protein powder, sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix well.
  • Next, add the remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
  • Cook in the microwave and cook for 60 seconds.
  • Check if the mug cake is cooked by inserting a skewer and if it comes out clean it’s cooked if not continue to cook in 10 second bursts until cooked through.
  • Serve warm topped with whipped cream, whipped coconut cream or enjoy on it’s own.

Notes

  • Mix the dry ingredients well before adding the wet ingredients.
  • To make this vegan friendly use vegan chocolate chips and vegan friendly protein powder.
  • Olive oil and be substituted with melted butter, melted vegan butter or melted ghee.
  • Use a microwave safe mug with the capacity to hold 1 cup of liquid.
  • Any plant based or dairy milk can be used in this recipe.
  • Do not over cook this cake otherwise it will become rubbery.
  • Slightly under cooking the cake will create a fudgy center.
  • This mug cake is best served immediately however it can be stored, covered, in the fridge for up to 2 days. Warm in the microwave before serving.
