Notes

  • This brownie batter will thicken when stored in the fridge.
  • Brownie batter can be frozen. To make it easier when defrosting divide the batter into ice cube trays and freeze, when defrost simply pop out several cubes and allow them to come to room temperature before enjoying.
  • To make this recipe vegan friendly simply use vegan butter and vegan chocolate chips.
  • Gluten free flour can be substituted for all-purpose flour however you may need to add an additional 1-2 tbsp of almond milk.
  • Heat treating the flour kills off any harmful bacteria found in the flour.
  • Make sure the heat treated flour cools to room temperature before continuing with the recipe.
  • Some delicious mix-in ideas are crushed oreo cookies, sprinkles or even chopped nuts.
  • Instant coffee granules are completely optional however by adding it you’ll intensify the natural chocolate flavors from the cocoa powder.
