Add all the ingredients, except the tea bag, to a small saucepan and whisk to combine.
Turn the burner on medium low heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, but don’t boil it. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
If making golden milk with ashwagandha, add the coconut oil once the warm milk has come to a simmer. Stir to melt. Pour the moon latte through a fine mesh strainer.
Add the tea bag. Let the tea steep for 4 minutes.
Remove the tea bag & taste the ashwagandha milk for sweetness. Add more maple syrup if desired, then serve immediately!
