First, combine milk, water, and quinoa in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until the liquid is abosrbed.
Finally, turn off the heat and let the saucepan and quinoa let stand at room temp for 5 minutes. Stir in fresh berries, bananas, nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey.
Transfer this yummy quinoa to plates, top with nuts, and drizzle some honey or agave nectar over each serving. You can also use maple syrup.
You can use any type of quinoa for this recipe including black quinoa, red quinoa, or multi-colored. All are equally delicious!
Be sure to keep the quinoa covered while it cooks. It will not steam and cook properly unless covered. Allow additional time to steam and absorb liquid off of the heat.
