This quick sauce is made with a little bit of orange and spices and is sweet, juicy, and so easy to make.
It is the best homemade cranberry sauce recipe and one of my favorite cranberry recipes!
Combine dried cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften and reconstitute the dried cranberries.
Stir in the cranberry juice. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat in a small saucepan, then reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries are plump and sauce has reduced slightly.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to make a smooth slurry. Stir slurry into simmering sauce. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened to desired consistency.
Remove pan from heat. Allow sauce to cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a serving dish. Serve this vegan cranberry sauce with your favorite holiday foods.
