Homemade Low Calorie Granola

This homemade low calorie granola recipe is a great alternative to store bought granola. It’s easy to make and it keeps for several weeks.

INGREDIENTS

– Quinoa – Rolled Oats – Ground flax seed – Pumpkin Seeds – Cashews

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spread old-fashioned oats and quinoa on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, toast in the oven for 10 minutes.

Preheat Oven, Toast Oats:

Remove oats/quinoa from the oven, pour into a bowl and add all of the remaining ingredients.

Add Mix-Ins:

Spread back onto a baking sheet, pressing it down into a uniform layer, and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or until it’s just starting to turn golden brown.

Bake Granola Mixture:

Remove this lower calorie granola from the oven, let it cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve at room temperature.

To save time, get a bag of mixed nuts and chop them up (that way you don’t have to add each type of nut individually!)
