Cranberry Sauce From Dried Cranberries

Combine dried cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften and reconstitute the dried cranberries.

ADD TO SAUCEPAN:

Stir in the cranberry juice. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat in a small saucepan, then reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries are plump.

COOK SAUCE: 

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to make a smooth slurry. Stir slurry into simmering sauce. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened to desired consistency.

THICKEN SAUCE:

Remove pan from heat. Allow sauce to cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a serving dish. Serve this vegan cranberry sauce with your favorite holiday foods.
