Healthier cinnamon rolls than the traditional version
Made with whole grains
Super kid friendly and easy to make
In a small bowl add warm milk, sugar & sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it rise for 5 minutes.
Mix the wet ingredients until smooth & well combined. Pour in the milk with yeast and stir until combined
Add the flour & spices to the wet ingredients & stir until incorporated.
Knead by hand until you have an elastic & smooth dough. Place the dough into a lightly greased large bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel & let rise for 1-2 hours.
Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the butter on top & sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon & pumpkin spice!
Roll the dough into a log shape & with a sharp knife, cut out 12 rolls. Place the rolls into a baking dish & cover to let them rise for 30 minutes.
Bake for 20 - 30 mins until golden brown on top. Serve with icing or as is!
