If you’re a fan of crispy potatoes, then you’re going to love this garlic smashed potatoes air fryer recipe. This dish combines the best of both worlds – you get the fluffy texture of a baked potato along with the crispy crunch of a french fry!

Wash the potatoes before adding to a pot of cold water. Bring the potatoes to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes or until they are tender. Remove the cooked potatoes from the heat and drain.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 C. Use the bottom of a glass, or a large fork, or a potato masher to gently smash the potatoes.
Place the smashed potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small bowl mix together the oil, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper.
Coat both sides of the smashed potatoes in the oil mixture.
