Prepare the blueberry compote by adding 1 cup blueberries along with remaining compote ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Prepare Blueberry Compote:

Reduce heat and simmer until the blueberries are cooked and the sauce has thickened. When compote has thickened remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Simmer & Cool:

While the compote is cooling, combine cream cheese and the rest of the whipped cream cheese ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.

Prepare Whipped Cream Cheese:

Toast the sliced whole wheat bread in a toaster or in the oven until golden brown. Evenly divide the whipped cream cheese and blueberry compote between the toasted bread.

Toast Bread & Assemble:

Blueberry compote and whipped cream cheese can be prepared ahead of time and stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
